8 week delegated approval
The project
One of our rural Estate clients in Wiltshire wanted to build a Group Visitor Centre which could be used by local schools and organisations to showcase farming standards and methods, and enthuse people about the natural world.
Together, we considered a number of sites, concluding that the site of a redundant grain store in the open countryside would be the most appropriate based on the location and space available.
We co-ordinated a bespoke team including an Architect, and Highway and Drainage Consultant to prepare a proposal to demolish the grain store and design a modern take on a traditional tithe barn. The result was a beautiful space to represent the Estate’s brief. We engaged with local schools and organisations, along with early discussions with the Parish Council. This ensured a smooth process leading to a delegated approval from the Council, well within the statutory timeframe.
