The project
One of our rural Estate clients in Berkshire came to us after their blacksmith left the local forge. With no successor, the Estate had been approached by a local florist looking for new premises. We arranged the drawings and prepared a supporting Planning Statement to justify the proposed use and give the building a new lease of life.
The application was unanimously supported and approved without delay. The new florist’s shop will be adorned with historic artefacts to retain the industrial heritage of the building.
We also worked with the Council’s conservation team to ensure that some of the historic blacksmiths artefacts can be saved and displayed in a local museum.
