Previous refusal turned around

Delegated approval

The project

Our client owns a small cottage on the edge of the village of Monxton near Andover. The cottage lies in the Monxton Conservation Area and the Council deemed it to be a non designated heritage asset. The client had received a refusal of planning permission for a two storey extension and contacted us to discuss how to move forward.

We worked with our client to design a sympathetic scheme. Following pre-application discussions with the Council’s Conservation Officer we were able to secure planning permission under delegated powers for a two storey and single storey extension that will turn the property into a family sized dwelling.
