Nitrate Neutrality Mitigation
The project
An Architect we regularly work with approached us to advise on the likely chances of success and to subsequently pursue an appeal against Test Valley Borough Council’s refusal of planning permission for a new build dwelling in the settlement boundary of Andover. The application had been refused by the Council’s Planning Committee contrary to Officers recommendation.
The site is located in a Conservation Area. We prepared a detailed Appeal Statement that thoroughly assessed the character and appearance of the Conservation Area, and the impact the proposed dwelling would have on the Conservation Area, and the amenity of neighbouring properties. The Appeal also put forward a scheme to secure Nitrate Neutrality. The Planning Inspector agreed with us on all points and Planning Permission was granted.
