No requirement for a temporary dwelling

The project

Our clients have run a premier equestrian cross country facility in Wiltshire for the past 20 years. The facility has never benefitted from a rural workers dwelling due to the owners renting a neighbouring cottage.

We secured a permanent equestrian workers dwelling in association with the business without the need to apply for a temporary dwelling.

The dwelling is a very generous property at just under 300 sq. m including a mezzanine floor gallery and office for the business located in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The application was supported by a rural dwelling justification statement prepared by a specialist equestrian consultant who we engaged on the clients behalf.

The application raised no objections from any statutory consultees and was determined in the statutory 8 week timescale.

The clients are delighted and we look forward to seeing the dwelling being built!
